Christine Taherian, SWA

Christine was born and studied in Cardiff. During late 70’s, she went to Glasgow, where she attended a Fine Art Course. She then moved to Tehran with her family and continued study and paint, and developed an interest to the rich and ancient traditions of Persian art, culture and language.

Christine returned to the United Kingdom, in the mid 90’s and continued working and exhibiting through different art groups in London and the Home Counties.

Christine’s beautiful work has been exhibited and sold internationally including in galleries throughout the UK, such as Fine Art UK and Mall Galleries, via the Society of Women  Artists (SWA) and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI). Christine has had numerous awards and her works have been widely published in different media.

This award winning artist has evolved her own impressionistic style, employing Oils, Acrylics and Mixed Media. She uses colours, layered textures and abstract patterns in forming, mainly, urban landscapes and highlighting cultural issues.
